Cookie Policy
This policy explains what cookies we use, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences. We keep cookie use minimal and purposeful.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work correctly, remember your preferences, and provide analytics about site usage. Similar technologies such as local storage and session storage serve comparable functions.
DNSnexus uses cookies sparingly. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or social media cookies. Our cookie use falls into three categories: Essential, Functional, and Analytics (consent required).
Cookie Categories
Required for the website to function. These cannot be disabled. They include authentication session tokens (for Monitor accounts) and core infrastructure cookies set by our hosting provider. They do not collect personal data for profiling.
Enhance your experience by remembering preferences such as dark/light mode and your cookie consent decision. These are stored in local storage and are not shared with third parties. You may clear them via browser settings without affecting core functionality.
If you accept analytics cookies, we may use Google Analytics or a privacy-friendly alternative to collect anonymized data on how visitors use the site (pages visited, session duration, traffic source). This helps us improve tool quality. No analytics cookies are placed without your explicit consent. You can withdraw consent at any time using the Manage Preferences link in the cookie banner.

Managing Your Cookie Preferences
Via Our Cookie Banner
On your first visit, a cookie consent banner appears at the bottom of the screen. You can accept all categories, reject non-essential cookies, or open Manage Preferences to choose individually. You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the cookie settings link in the page footer.
Via Your Browser
Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. Here are quick links for common browsers:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Note: Blocking essential cookies will prevent the Monitor dashboard and authentication from working correctly.
Google Analytics Opt-Out
If Google Analytics is active (only with your consent), you can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Third-Party Cookies
We do not embed third-party advertising, social media tracking pixels, or cross-site tracking technologies. The only third-party cookies present are:
- Supabase — authentication session management for Monitor accounts
- Google Analytics — only if you explicitly consent via our cookie banner
Changes & Contact
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use or legal requirements. The "Last Updated" date at the top indicates when changes were last made. Continued use of the site after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
